You need to speak to your audiences experience level and show empathy for their pain points. - Engaging and compelling storytelling:
You need to be able to hook the reader in the first couple of lines and you need a good story to keep their attention. - Effectively deliver a message:
You should make sure to cover the value and benefit of Carrot. What will your audience learn and how will it benefit them? - Trigger a response/reaction:
You want the reader to self reflect on their pain points and understand that Carrot is a solution.
The Layout and Elements
- Engaging Subject lines:
You want to make sure your subject line teases value/benefit or hits a pain point. Keep it short and leave a little mystery to entice opens. - Attractive header image (optional):
Images increase conversion. We find our header images consistently lead to 30% of our email clicks. However it’s not necessary every time. - Powerful and engaging hook:
You need a short but strong hook to grab immediate attention and tease a benefit. - Short story/ short content:
1-3 paragraphs. Written at a 5th grade reading level. You want to tell a story that touches on the pain points of the audience and how you understand and empathize with them. Then introduce the webinar as a solution with the benefit being they can eliminate their pain point. - What they will learn:
You want to clearly tell them what they will learn so they know what to expect. - Clear and simple call-to-action:
You need a large button and copy that clearly tells the reader what they will get when they click. Make sure your button color stands out. - Urgency/FOMO:
It’s always important to stress urgency or fear of missing of out with text around your CTA. Ideally right below the button. You want them to understand their pain point will continue to happen if they don’t click.
